Kooky Plan
The main purpose of this website is to help entrepreneurs develop successful business plans, and to put those plans into action. In this section, you can find all of the business ideas that people have come up with, and would like to suggest business ideas to others. If you are looking for unique business ideas, then this is the place to look.
Entrepreneurship Ideas
Did you ever have an idea that you thought could change the world? You wished that you had the time / money / connections to make it happen, and even though you thought about it...you knew you would never get around to actually doing it? If so, then this is the site for you! I have tons of ideas that I think are really great, but I know in my heart that I will never have time to do them all (or even a handful of them). So, rather then hoarding them all in my little binder of ideas, Ive decided to publish them, and allow other people to read them (and hopefully turn them into successful businesses one day!). My dream is that other people might read these ideas one day, and get inspired to take action. Im going to put a digital signature on each of my original ideas, with a link to my profile on LinkedIn, so if you want to contact me, and ask me any questions about my ideas (how it would work, etc), please feel free to do so. I guess in a way, this will function as my own creative resume of ideas. I hope in time that other people will also want to add their ideas to this site, and that we can togther make this a giant collection of really great ideas.
Did you ever wish the packaging on a bottle was easier to open? Or, that your remote control would operate all of your appliances? Or, did you ever wish that somebody would design a product to do XYZ ? If you have an idea that you think you might turn into a business one day, then by all means...keep it secret. But, if you know that you will never do it...then, please...share it with the world, and let’s make it happen! My idea is that any wanna-be entrepreneur could use this site as a resource for idea finding. The rest of us can use this site as a means of venting all of our really great ideas that we wish somebody else would implement!

- Button for the radio in your car that would record the title and author of the song. Create a small button that a driver would press whenever they heard a song that they wanted to remember. Then that little button-like device could be plugged into a computer with a USB connection and automatically connected to iTunes, or another store for purchase...
- Create a specialized education program focusing on private banking in Miami. Following the concepts of Porter and the necessity of "clusters", I recognize that Miami is in need of a specialized business training facility that focuses on creating the future employees of the private banking community...
- Cell phone translation service that could be used by business travelers to China, or other countries. When you want to get something translated, you text message to the service, and wait for a response either by text message, or by a phone call. You can put it on speaker phone to tell the taxi driver where to go...
- Franchise a chain of barbershops for men. Code name = "boober -shop". My wife hates the code-name, (please, dont really call it this!), but I think the idea is quite good. You should create a barbershop, but make it a place where normal guys can go and get a haircut from an attractive female. No more being man-handled by the guy who works at Super Cuts. No more paying crazy prices to go to women’s beauty salons. My idea is to take the Starbucks concept and create a cool, relaxing place. The prices might be a little high, but like Starbucks, people come for the experience.
More Entrepreneurship Ideas
- General labor website with peer-reviews. Use the 5 stars reviewing process to rate local handymen. It would be like a Reverse auction labor / contractor website – like a reverse -eBay but for contractors, plumbers, electricians, roofers, etc. Since I came up with this idea, I learned about angie's list, but I think she got it wrong. Here is how I originally thought the market should be organized...
- Random business ideas for China. Anyone that visits China these days is sure to come home with a suitcase full of business ideas that they think would be successful. If your like me, and if you want to share these ideas with the group, then please feel free to add them in here.
- Sell advertising space on rooftops to and create a buzz ad campaign using google earth satellite imaging. A really neat campaign would be to take a group of houses or buildings, and paint their rooftops as pieces of an ad and then sell that space to a company like coke, and create a buzz of people that go to look at the ad on google earth...
- Represent Brazilian Artist Romero Britto in China. This appears to be a big opportunity for the right business person. This artist has already proven to be extremely easy to market to public spaces, buildings, airports and so on. When I was in China recently I was amazed at how they lacked colorful art in any of their public spaces. If I was interested in exporting to China, I would consider this a very good idea. Somebody should put together a business plan for this, and approach Romero Britto with the plan. Im sure that a good entrepreneur / manager would be successful... (note: this idea does not originate from Romero Britto, nor anyone related or affiliated with the artist).
- Design a unique piece of furniture to hold the massive volume of photos that people are now taking with digital cameras. Ever since the digital camera became more affordable, people have been taking more and more photos. With the mass of extra new photos that are getting printed, I think there is an opportunity for the furniture industry to create a unique designed cabinet that could hold and display all of these new photos. Think of it like a touch screen, but instead of just a table, you integrate it into a working cabinet, and allow for people to store their printed photos as well as have a projector to show the digital ones on a wall...
- Baby crib rentals for the first two weeks of life. When you have your first child you will know what I’m talking about. The first day or two in the hospital is a process of getting your baby accustomed to the crib, and for you getting accustomed to the diaper-changing routine. But, just when you finally think "ok, I can do this"...they send you home, and you discover that your crib is too big; the diaper supplies are too far from the crib; and that everything you became accustomed to in the hospital is now different. My idea is that somebody should purchase an inventory of matching supplies just like from the hospital, and then rent those supplies to new parents during their first 1-2 weeks transition to home....
- Make a baby day care franchise with theme of "Baby Einstein", like from the videos. This would be a big hit since all parents already are crazy about purchasing anything from Baby Einstein videos for their infants. My idea is to take this passion that parents already have for the brand, and leverage it into a franchise of baby einstein day cares.
- Navigation device for the car that uses citywide municipal Wi-Fi to access internet, and then use google mapping technology to tell the driver where is the nearest store / restaurant. Then use location based advertising to continuously scroll local based ads directed to the passenger (obviously not for the driver :-)
