Hi Ray!

:D nmw

ps If Ted hadn't told me that this place *works* I probably would *never* have figured it out ;D

Awww, Norbert, you would have just been left in the Web 2.0 dust without Ted, how sweet! :-P Welcome Best, MarkDilley

... ;D

OK, so here's the deal: I was just putting some links onto 7x7.INFO [1]] (used to be a rockin' news site, but I gave up on that since nothing new ever seems to happen anymore) -- the basic Spiel being there are 7 kinds of information and 7 instances of each kind (this probably won' pan out either, but it's a good name, so I figure I've gotta come up with something half-decent for it) -- and guess what? I almost forgot wikipedia! LOL!! So what else is missing? :) nmw

glad to see you here again

posting messages I will never understand :-) TedErnst

edit summaries

Norbert, MediaWiki has a feature called "edit summary" which is simply another input box between where you type the actual text on the page and where you click "save page" - that's where I typed "Hi Norbert" - it allows for explanation of edits TedErnst | talk 07:45, 21 September 2007 (PDT)

About Help.com

Hello NMW,

I noticed that you edited the page help.com with what seems like a review. I was wondering if you were the anonymous person who reviewed the page earlier? I moved the anon review to the Community Reviews section and restored the website's description which was overwritten by your review again this time logged in. May i ask if it was by accident? If so kindly move your review to the Community Reviews section and restore the site's actual Description. If you need help with that, let me know.

Help.com

Hello. I just came across this page circa Special:LongPages and I wonder if there is a way to pare this page down in size and make it more resourceful and less overwhelming? Also, I don't know if you noticed our new-ish Influence Us feature but I think it's worth checking out. Best, Kristina .talk. .chat. 21:10, 10 March 2008 (PDT)

Concerns concerning Change.GOV

I am a little troubled with "trouble" (that's *my* predicate ;) at Change.GOV:

1. the primary issue is that .GOV whois information seems to be virtually nonexistent, so there is no way of knowing who is actually responsible for the site (this is simply INEXCUSABLE: Government *must* be accountable -- at the very least -- to its citizens)

2. I feel it is a worrisome trend when government favors information channels such as youtube.com -- Indeed: IMHO this is actually quite alarming, and propose that the President-Elect should distance himself from too close association with the media. In the past, leaders who have had too close ties to media conglomerates have been ridiculed as charlatans.

All in all, I believe these first days following Obama's victory may include some minor missteps -- and they should be swiftly and thoroughly corrected. Otherwise, I am concerned that would not be a good way to start a presidency that is supposed to be open and transparent.

oops

I wasn't sure what you meant about directory.com looking strange, so I deleted it in order to repopulate it. The bummer is that the new bot won't run on it. Feel free to create the page manually if you like. TedErnst (talk) 09:05, 2 September 2009 (PDT)

Nice to hear from you too!

Hope all is well. :-) ~~ MarkDilley

Lists are gone

At least in the style that TedErnst told you about. However Lists in the wiki format are still here and I think they are better. Let me know what you think about them. Best, MarkDilley
