I was born in Maracaibo , Venezuela and my birth name is Brigida ; Mara is my Artist name. I've traveled quite extensively, living in Switzerland, South-Africa, Germany and since 1999 I have made Canada my home. All this traveling has given me an invaluable opportunity to learn different cultures and languages (Spanish, German and English) and has taught me to be flexible and open. I'm also the proud mother of two wonderful sons.
I come from a lineage of Shamans and as a result grew up with healing work being a natural part of my life, understanding that we can heal ourselves and help others to do the same. This opened me up to other realms, which gave me a deeper connection with all there is . nature, animals, spirits. I also learned to believe in our ability to communicate with spirit, to be telepathic and intuitive, to increase energy levels and enhance creativity. This has become my passion, my life's path and my soul purpose.
At this point along my life's journey, I am certified as a Reflexologist , a Reiki Master/Teacher, a Lomi-Lomi-Massage therapist (an Ancient Hawai'ian Temple Bodywork), a Stone Therapy Massage practitioner and a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher. I also have three years of training in integrative psychotherapy. In my spare time I nurture my soul as an Artist.
