Kathy Baker is the team leader and owner of MK Tax & Accounting. She has over 20 years of accounting experience and brings a special warmth and concern to her clients and to the staff.
Kathy founded Baker Bookkeeping Services in Marietta, Georgia in 1982. She moved to Tucson in 1985 with her family and began working with Laventhol and Horwath. She was instrumental in implementing a new PC-based accounting system to prepare tax returns. Kathy has assisted CPAs in Southern Arizona with bookkeeping, tax return preparation, software installation and training, and conflict resolution with federal and state authorities.
One of the many talents Kathy possesses is making people feel good about themselves and is a trusted mentor to business owners going through growth challenges or difficult times.
