The Journal Community is a free, adults only blogging/diary/journal website created after the death (and eventual resurrection) of another popular diary site. Though the diary site it was created after came back, enough people had already situated themselves at The Journal Community to allow it to remain its own entity.
Some of the popular features of the site include tripwires (where you can see who has visited your entries), relationships, privacy tools, email notifications, color and layout customizations, and prompt, friendly help from the JC staff.
One of the less than popular features of the site are the no-nonsense, no fighting rules. If you are looking to get into disagreements, don't bother here. The JC staff doesn't like drama. The Journal Community also allows members to post adult related material for viewing by those that are signed in, so beware if you're not OK with that sort of thing.
Overall, the Journal Community is a nice place to land if you are an adult blogger looking to avoid some of the younger crowd drama. The people are generally friendly, the staff goes out of its way to make sure the site stays online and backed up, and the entries posted by others are usually higher quality than at other sites.
