- Another attempt at a landscape. This was painted from a photo I took last year as my husband and I drove the Blue Ridge Parkway. We drove from North Carolina to Washington, DC stopping at almost every overlook. I lived near the parkway for most of my life, but this was my husband's first trip. The foliage was stunning. We came around a corner and there was this amazing yellow tree catching the light. I actually toned down the rest of the trees for the painting so that the one tree would stand out. In actuality, the whole road was full of bright yellow trees. It really was a beautiful trip.
