History
The Sunshine Coast Bed and Breakfast, Cottage Owners Association (SCBBCOA) was founded in 1999 by a small group of Bed and Breakfast and Cottage owners on the Sunshine Coast "to cultivate cooperation and communication among B&B and Cottage owners on the Sunshine Coast". Since then the SCBBCOA has grown to over 140 members and includes accommodations from Langdale on the south to Lund on the north of the Sunshine Coast. All accommodation providers wishing to join the association must have their establishments inspected before being approved to ensure that they meet established standards of cleanliness and comfort. Our motto "BC's perfect B&B and cottage country . . . something for everyone" is an accurate depiction of the variety of accommodations available through the association.

Thanks to our award winning website, finding idyllic accommodation is only a few clicks away. In 2002 the SCBBCOA was presented with the Technology in Tourism Award by Tourism B.C. for innovative use of technology in tourism. In June 2004, SCBBCOA launched a newly redesigned and greatly improved website in order to serve guests even more efficiently. Availability Calendars and full online reservation system enable prospective guests to find suitable accommodation and, as often happens in summer when rooms are at a premium, to determine where there are vacancies.
