Kirsten is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University. Her clinical training and expertise includes therapeutic work with children, adolescents, adult individuals, couples, family and group therapy utilizing traditional talk therapy as well as other modalities such as sandtray and art therapy.
Kirsten provides psychotherapy services in her private practice offices in the East Bay (Oakland) and San Francisco, and is currently a candidate for certification at the Masterson Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
Kirsten has worked in many Bay Area agencies serving clients including Family Service Agency of Marin, Southeast Child and Family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Sexual Abuse Resource Center, Tracey's Place of Hope, Circle of Care - STRIVE, and is the former Program Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Community Institute for Psychotherapy, where she provided supervision, education and training to interns in this specialized program. She has also supervised interns at Davis Street Family Resource Center.
