Agnes Moorehead, the one-of-a-kind star of stage, screen, TV and radio wrote to me from the time I was 13 until I graduated from college. Recently, with her biographer’s encouragement, I compiled about fifty letters into a book with commentary in order to set the correspondence in context. I hope that sharing these splendid gems with others will enhance Miss Moorehead’s legend as not only the most versatile actress of the twentieth century, but as also an inspiring mentor and teacher.
