Apalachicola Forest Youth Camp was opened in January 2002. AFYC is located near our moderate risk residential program in the middle of the Apalachicola Forest. We have partnered with theDepartment of Children and Families to provide a Competency Restoration Residential Commitment Program for youth who have been charged with delinquent acts or violations of the law, and have been assessed as “incompetent to proceed with trial” due to a mental illness or mental retardation.
