Product Features
The world's first "Snap-In" connectors are extremely easy to install and change, taking less than 40 seconds without the use of tools. They have been designed to last longer than old flex sleeves and contain no wear points.
- Sanitation
- The sleeves are made of various grade flexible polymers rather than fabric.
- The snap bands seal tightly into the end spigots, virtually eliminating leakage.
Because of the tight seal and the easily cleaned materials, cross contamination is no longer a problem. The outside of processing machinery remains dust-free, cutting cleaning time dramatically and reducing concerns of allergen contamination of foodstuffs or undesired chemical reactions.

The safety afforded with the Powder Solutions sleeves is unsurpassed. Pressure increases the seal rather than blowing it apart. The website features a video demonstrating an explosion and its effect on a traditional sleeve and the one designed by BFM®.
Kevlar BFM® sleeves can operate at 50 kPascals and do not fail at explosion pressures of 100 kPascals. The fittings meet the USDA and ASME safety standards.
- Sizes
Powder Solutions offers standard sizes for tubing in a range from 4 to 36 inches. The website offers formulas to calculate the sizes needed for aligned, offset, or oscillating pipe applications. In addition, custom designs can be ordered for any application. These might include special flanged fittings, spigots, hopper inlets, eccentric discharge adaptors, and adaptors to tri-clamp piping.
The unique end spigots from Powder Solutions fit cleanly, and are welded into existing processing equipment piping. Once these are fitted into place, a flexible sleeve with integral snap bands can be inserted between the pipes by hand.
Additional standard adaptations include see-through tapered connectors, end caps, outer Kevlar reinforcing sleeves for extra explosion protection, and molded-in reinforcing rings for vacuum applications.
