WikinomicsGrassroots
Intro
Until now we have seen examples, where Wikis are used as smart tools for established companies, who source out their problem solving capacity to the crowds. G CrowdSourcing
Instead of paying some (say a team of 10) employees, to design, program, deliver content, etc. they harvest wikis, especially CreativeCommons based wikis to solve their own business problems often without paying a dime to the contributors.
The author hopes that his provoking intro leads to a list of established or known initiatives, where wikizens can demonstrate income models, that have been created bottom-up from existing wikis. The author copies this text also to Meatball and the Aboutus Wiki, curious how this seed develops here at SocialtextWikinomics: WikinomicsGrassrootsHey this wiki needs a WikiPrefix, to be easily quoted from other wikis.) and elsewhere.
G SocialDomaining as a truly Wikinomics approach bottom up
In this case, a single author, opens up his DomainPortfolio, to share the costs and the gains, when buying and selling domains. Of course, if we have a friendly and constructive conversation about some domain to be shared, this increases the value of the domain: not only for the mutual benefit of the primary domaining partners, but also for the buyer, who gets a friendly, name recognition, established by our comunity effort (which actually is an inspiring "effortless effort", that creates value).
