12 Questions

01. Where are you from? How did you get your artist-/band-/project- name?

I'm from Quebec City, about 280 Kl. From Montreal, in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

02. How did you get involved into music?

From the age of Fifteen, I've learn the guitar (Electric) with a friend, I remember practicing Chet Atkins, The Ventures, That was in the early '60.

03. What are your influences (e.g. bands, styles, circumstances)? Your personal way of music?

My first influence came from Elvis Presley, after that came The Beatles, that is when I really went full time in Music, She loves you Yea Yea Yea… The Jimi Hendrix, It was very difficult for us (the Band then) to play Hendrix, He was so hot on the guitar, very much in advance for it's time, plus the people where we play would'nt appreciate much this kind of music, it was very underground, ' psychedelick'. And my first band, we played very commercial music for marriage, ect…

04. How would you describe your music?

It's just new to me to compose music seriously…2 or 3 months.. And so far I've got about 30 compos…. Before I used to Work (Play and sing. 2 to 4 nights a week) in Bars.. I've been doing this (Play Cover songs) for all my life, Yes, it's been a time, I remember with some groups like Pop Corn Blues Band, I composed some songs, but not very interesting..We where much absorbed by the songs that we cover every night.. That is why it is easy for me to compose in many differents styles.. I would say that I prefer to compose Blues music, Rock, this is what I like,

05. Which is your best way to write songs/music? How can you work most efficiently?

I have my home Studio, so it is very easy to work on my compos, night or day, I put my headphones, plug my guitar into my Pod Line6, Start the beat that I have in mind, After, play some bass on the Keyboard, then back to the drum… Back to the Guitar….and the Sing. The most difficult for me is the lyrics, I am French speaking, a little English.. The Blues and Rock sounds better in English, so I work hard to compose in English..

06. How long does it take you to create a song? - e.g. writing an recording?

That depens, sometimes when I got the idea very clear in my mind, 2 days, everythning in done. Sometimes, can take days, I leave it there, I come back…work a bit on it..ect..

07. Are you also working together with other musicians as guest players or in collaboration?

I usualy work alone, to compose. I like it better that way. But after the basic work is done on my compos, in a near futur, I will have a old friend of mine that lives in Quebec City, He will record some drums tracks on my compos. (Can't wait to hear the result of that…) And we have another project for a Duo and produce another album…

08. Which is your favorite location to play and where will you play next?

I have'nt played much in public for 3 or 4 months now, it is very difficult in Montreal even in the Province to perform since the governement passed some laws that did very bad to business in Bars where we used to play,

So, I'll tell you, I play sometimes in Restaurants, you know dinner and dance… Cover songs, to survive..I work alone with a computer. What I like is work in my studio….

09. Do you have a video to your music?

No, it is too bad that the music is coming this way..Video, People are asking all that the Majors have, but they have the budget for that… My investment is in my studio for my music, not cinéma.
