Western Waffles was founded in 1990 by Ole Elmer, a Danish entrepreneur with a dream and the drive and determination to make it happen. Originally trained as a French chef, he has spent his whole career in the food industry. From cooking in logging and mining camps, to owning a successful catering company, to presiding over North America's fastest growing waffle company.
We are proud that the founding principles - customer satisfaction, product quality, reliable service and profitability have remained intact. Management's objective to produce the finest waffle in North America at the best possible price continues to be achieved.
Our highly efficient, multi-million dollar facilities run three full shifts each day, producing over one million waffles in each plant every day, every week of the year. We are constantly upgrading and streamlining the equipment to continually improve efficiencies.
