Description
Born and raised in New Jersey, I graduated from Hood College in Frederick, MD with a bachelors degree in Outdoor Recreation. I headed west and took a job in Wyoming. Initially, with the National Outdoor Leadership School and then as a Recreation Therapist for the Wyoming State Training School. After 10 years of working in the field of Recreation and helping others have fun, I decided to return to school to learn about communication. I graduated with my masters in Speech Pathology from the University of Wyoming in Laramie in 1991.
My love for the mountains and wide open spaces brought me back to Lander, plus a lot of friends that like to play outdoors. We backpack, hike, mountain bike, cross country ski and bbq in our free time.
Certified as a Speech Language Pathologist by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). As a Speech Pathologist, I have provided services for individuals of all ages and in several settings: Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health, Early Childhood Programs, Public School Systems and Centers for the Developmentally Disabled. My passion has been to work with individuals of all ages and their families on mealtime issues. I'm also a team member of the bi-annual Wyoming Deaf Blind Project or WEIAT - Wyoming Early Intervention Assessment Team.
