The Motor Bookstore (MotoBooks) sells repair manuals for cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, jetskis, farm tractors, etc. Plus used repair manuals, automotive books on car restoration, service & maintenance manuals, and more for the do-it-yourself or professional mechanic.

Our Story...

The Motor Bookstore was launched back in the mid 1990s as a printed catalog listing repair manuals and restoration books for motorcycles, which was part of Motorcycle Shopper magazine. In short order, the motorcycle book catalog became the driving force, and MotorcycleBooks.com was launched in 1996 as a stand-alone business.

Word-of-mouth and cross-linking, along with the philosophy that low prices were key, helped the new site grow fast and, by 1997, demand for automotive repair manuals prompted a new name, which was officially changed to The Motor Bookstore (www.themotorbookstore.com).

As many Internet ventures, The Motor Bookstore was started out of a 3rd bedroom which soon took over the garage and the dining room table. By that point the decision was made to purchase an actual office which would also double as a warehouse.

So in 2002 a "real" office was purchased in Deltona, Florida. All 789 sq. ft. of it! However, continued growth forced the purchase of a piece of land in neighboring DeBary and construction of the current warehouse was started in 2004.

On May 2nd. 2005, The Motor Bookstore moved to its new home at Springview Commerce Park in DeBary, Florida
