Description

The OUT ON FILM festival is produced annually by IMAGE Film & Video Center. IMAGE (Independent Media Artists of Georgia, Etc.) was founded in 1977 by a group of Atlanta media producers and artists. Today, IMAGE is one of the most respected not-for-profit media arts centers in the country. IMAGE's mission is to build and support a strong media arts community in Atlanta and the Southeast by promoting the production, exhibition, and public awareness of film and video and unique forms of artistic expression. In addition to presenting OUT ON FILM, IMAGE also produces the ten ATLANTA FILM FESTIVAL, offers screenings, workshops, monthly meetings, fiscal sponsorships, screenplay critiquing services, outreach programs, and equipment access.

Major funding for IMAGE is provided in part by the Fulton County Commission under the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council.

IMAGE is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts with appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly, and by the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, City of Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
