Why hello!

My name is Kristina Weis. Thanks for checking out my personal page here at AboutUs.org.

If you're new to AboutUs, hello and welcome! And may I suggest that you check out the Need Help? and What is AboutUs? links at the top left to formally introduce you to AboutUs and how to edit the wiki?

Let me know if I can help or answer any questions... just pick a way to contact me!

AboutMe

I have been a part of the AboutUs Portland team since February '07. This whole time I have been reviewing recent changes that have been made on the wiki and welcoming new AboutUs wiki editors with a talk page message on an almost daily basis in addition to various other projects.

A while back I jumped on board to help respond to the growing interest in how we help people promote their businesses and websites with a Deluxe AboutUs Article. You can see the articles that our team of Wiki Coaches (myself included) have created thusfar on our Spotlight Articles page.

On a more personal note, I am 22 and graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Geography last March. I also have a background in Journalism and an associates degree from Clark College.

I love to blues and swing dance socially and in my living room. I am what you could call a music lover, primarily for that with an electronic or blues-y influence. Moby and Nina Simone are at the top of my list. Hiking is one of my favorite activities, and the Portland area is such a great place for it (when it's not raining).

AboutUs Testimonials

  • OVBlogger.com  (read the original)

Hey did you know that there’s a site where you can go and find your website? If it’s not there, the wiki will create a page for it. Then, you just fill in the details. Title, Description, and Related URLs. It’s pretty cool.
  • KillerStartups.com  (read the original)

AboutUs indexes very well in most search engines. As a result, AboutUs pages contribute to a website's visibility. By having an AboutUs page that connects a business to its logical tags/categories, as well as to its industry neighbors, AboutUs is building a valuable, interconnected resource.

As the owner of a moderately obscure website in a highly competitive market, I'm grateful for finding AboutUs.org.
  • XavierMedia.com  (read the original)

If you would like to know more about a company behind a domain name AboutUs.org is the place where you should have a look since almost every domain name registered got its own page...
  • PC4Media.net  (read the original)

Link building sites don't get any better than Aboutus.org. And the nicest thing about Aboutus.org, if the community continues to keep out the riff-raff, it's creating a really worthwhile service for all of us.
  • FlameDepot.com  (read the original)

I wish I could keep AboutUs a secret, but I have had such a great experience, it must be shared. FlameDepot & I have zero complaints. AboutUs is highly recommended and we endorse your services! Thanks again!

If you're one of those people who wish you knew a little more about that extra special site you've been racking up hits on, check out AboutUs. Think of them as that guy in your IT department who can tell you everything about any site that's out there. Except you don't have to deal with his cocky attitude and coffee breath.
  • BookGardenPublishing.com  (read the original)

In my marketing campaign, AboutUs.org has proven to be one of the wisest choices I’ve made.
  • LGR.ca  (read the original)

It never hurts to have one more way for people to find out about you and your business, and that is exactly what AboutUs.org is about... You never know, perhaps your next big client or job will come from them finding you there.

AboutUs.org has a great game plan, and you guys are doing everything you need to be a successful and recognized leader in the web information industry. I love the idea, the support, the culture, everything... I WILL be a customer for life!

Simply make the page say more about your site, show people your best posts, your best categories & whatever else you feel like. In turn you’ll have some nice one way backlinks to your site from a trusted resource.
  • Rent-My-Brain.net  (read the original)

If you publish one or more websites, you will always look for good ways to get the word out about what you are doing. This afternoon, I ran across a new wiki designed specifically for web sites - AboutUs.org.
  • NoHeat.com  (read the original)

Every once in a while I do a search for my own website with Google to see whats linking back, but doing a search this week returned a very interesting result. When I searched for “Noheat.com” the number 2 result was a aboutus.org wiki link. When I clicked around I noticed that they found a lot of my domains (not all though) and linked them up, also if I visited a site without a AboutUs wiki it autogenerated a wiki for the site which is pretty cool for building a database of sites and getting a nice link back.
  • Genexbs.com  (read the original)

I think the idea of Aboutus.org will help new websites gain popularity, and aboutus.org will become a (human intelligent) layer over robotic search results, creating much more reliable information about websites.
  • We think we've got a pretty great website, but don't just take our word for it. Read what other people have to say about AboutUs.
