As of July 2004, the International Ergonomics Association has 42 federated societies, 1 affiliated society, 11 sustaining member organizations, 6 individual sustaining members and 2 networks.
Federated societies are professional societies in ergonomics/human that have been admitted by the Council for having met and continuing to fulfill the eligibility criteria provided by the IEA Rules. They have voting rights and appoint representatives to Council based on the size of their membership.
Sustaining members are organizations or individuals who support the work of IEA through annual financial contributions. There are several categories of sustaining membership.
