The history of Hy-Q International
The Hy-Q International began in 1969 in Frankston, Australia as Hy-Q Electronics Pty. Ltd. by a group of crystal engineers. From the outset, we were determined to establish ourselves as one of the world's leading manufacturers of frequency control products where excellence of product and customer service would be paramount considerations.
A manufacturing plant in Singapore, Hy-Q International (Sing.) Pte. Ltd. followed in 1972 with the U.K. operation being set up in 1977. Initially seen as a research and development resource for the expanding group, it soon became evident that its potential as a springboard to the European market would prove irresistible and Hy-Q International (UK) Limited soon became the central focus for the group's European sales and marketing strategy.
Hy-Q's international presence further expanded in 1989 into the fast growing North American market with the acquisition of a leading Cincinnati based crystal manufacturer in the United States. Hy-Q International (USA), Inc. was then relocated to Northern Kentucky, adjacent to the Greater Cincinnati International Airport with production taking place in a modern 25,000 square-foot plant, located on a five acre site.
