With a strong personal interest in engineering automation for increased efficiency and reliability, Gord has been able to make a number of substantial workplace improvements over the years resulting in significant labor reductions while increasing reliability. Experience ranges from installing PDS and PDS project administration, supervising a design office, setting up CADD standards and design procedures, to grass-roots design of major projects, construction inspections and progress monitoring, pipe fabrication spooling and production planning, and design of small to large renovations at operating plants including conceptual design, capital cost and engineering cost estimating, and construction planning. Additional experience in development of piping specifications, development of software for engineering applications, and technical writing.
