Allow us to introduce ourselves, our names are Alexia, Aimee, Coltrane, Zoe, Crickett, Bailey and Brandy. We are the staff members of a website titled, “Furr Angels!” Together, we provide the creative talent, initiative and knowledge used to create and maintain our website. Our website exists because there are too many homeless dogs and cats and we feel we must try and raise awareness for those who cannot tell you themselves.
of 1999, Zoe and Coltrane were adopted from the local kill shelter. Upon speaking with the technician on duty, it was discovered that the euthanization rate was 94% -- that means that of 100 animals, only 6 left the facility alive.
The thought of all those animals who would never know the love of a human was overwhelming to say the least. As days passed the thought of who was not saved continued to haunt one particular person, as she watched Zoe and Coltrane grow and play together. But, it was obvious that there was no room in the house for just one more as there were now five cats, a dog and three birds. And quite honestly, " just one more" cat or dog would never be enough to help with the sadness when there are millions dying across the nation each year. One more or five more added to the family -- it would never be enough.
