- Welcome to Friends of the Border Patrol. FOBP was created in 2004 with the primary objective of educating the public concerning duties, responsibilities, and effectiveness of federal law enforcement officers and operations in domestic border security operations. Most recently, with the infamous prosecution cases of U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean and the lesser known cases of Agents Sipe, Brugman, and Deputy Sheriff Hernandez, the role of FOBP expanded. Through the generous tax deductible donations of supporters, FOBP objectives now include technical, financial, and legal support of agents and unlike donations made to union's or other groups, donations to FOBP are one-hundred percent tax deductible. Furthermore, we are not a labor organization and provide assistance regardless of union affiliation.
