ElderWeb Welcome Page

Description

ElderWeb is an on-line community of older adult computer users. Founded in 1994 by the Arts and Science Division of Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, AB, ElderWeb is designed to provide its services to all adults over 45 years of age in North America.

ElderWeb is an ongoing learning activity born out of the expressed needs of older adults trying to cope with the ever expanding world of technology. How often have you taken courses only to find out a few days later that you need a little help solving a computer problem. The course is finished and you no longer have access to the instructor. You might consult with your children or perhaps the person next door who happens to have a computer. More likely than not, you don't like bothering others with these types of problems.

That's where ElderWeb comes to the rescue. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year you have access to every member through the use of our web site. You can post your message on line and others who have a solution can respond on-line. All discussion groups are monitored by knowledgable individuals and where necessary they can consult with professionals in the ElderWeb office. As ElderWeb grows in each physical community we assist members in establishing user groups and roving volunteers who can visit you in your home to help solve computer problems.
