Database systems have traditionally paralleled evolutionary shifts in computer technology. From the desktop PC, to local and wide area networks, and ultimately to the Web, database technology consistently follows paradigm moves to match the capabilities of leading-edge hardware and software. eCriteria helps evolve databases one step further as the Web's Database Service Provider (DSP). We conceived the concept of a Web-hosted database and began building eCriteria in late 1999.
