About the Author
Katharine E. Matchette lives in Christmas Valley, Oregon, with her husband and several pets. She enjoys reading and writing historical fiction, making music, gardening, and canning.
As a college student, Katharine completed a double major in missions and education at Seattle Pacific University. A former teacher, she has a special interest in education, especially missions education. She has written a number of historical articles for God's World Publications, as well as many other articles for story papers and Christian magazines.
In addition to writing, she edits adult Sunday school curriculum for Evangelical Friends International. She and her husband attend Christmas Valley Community Church.
