About Cornish
She was born in Fresno, Calif. She currenlty lives in East Bremerton with her husband, Bryan, and her son Joshua.
Education
- Graduated at Hanford High School in 1990 and from California State University, Fresno, with a bachelor's degree in mass communication/journalism in 1996.
Work Experience at NorthKitSap Herald
Cornish has been at the Herald since November 2007, when she covered schools and sports for the North Kitsap School District. From 2003 till 2005, Cornish as the editor for the Bremerton Patriot and as a staff writer for the Central Kitsap Reporter. While at the Reporter, she covered the Central Kitsap School District, the environment, transportation issues and general assignments. She has previously worked at the Goose Creek Gazette in Goose Creek, S.C., and The Brunswick News in Brunswick, Ga.
