Canusa Corporation ("Canusa") traces its roots to 1981 when The Great Bay Group, Inc., trading as Great Bay Paper Company, was established in Baltimore, Maryland. This company began as a three-person secondary fiber trading office. In 1984 the company received an equity investment from Cascades, Inc., which at the time was a medium sized, multi-national manufacturer of recycled paper products.
