- Butterfly Dreams Farm Therapeutic Riding Program was first a vision – one filled with hope and bound by family, friends and God. Our vision began from the memory of one child and the healing brought to her by a horse. She started life with what seemed every strike against her – severe disabilities, abused, neglected, and detached. At the age of three, God brought her to live with the Thompson family at Butterfly Dreams Farm. There, while on the back of a horse, this child gained the strength and balance to walk, learned the power of communication, found a reason to laugh and smile—she found a place where her body and heart felt safe. Our vision is for Butterfly Dreams Farm to again be a place of healing and happiness to special needs children in our community. Perhaps every child who comes here can find the wings to carry them into their very own butterfly dreams!
