FWIW, four of us had whooping cough several years ago, and the three of us who had it the worst had been vaccinated - I have no idea where we got it from.
Measles is one of those diseases that isn’t too bad if you catch it as a child, and then you have lifelong immunity. The vaccine has a tendency to wear off - or anyway, the vaccine I had a child was said to wear off. When I was in college everyone had to be revaccinated because there was an outbreak among college-age folks who’d been vaccinated as children.
I thought about it and figured I should add a bit more to my previous comment. I do feel that certain situations are cause to vaccinate. Such as when I traveled overseas and I received Yellowfever and Typhoid vaccinations. I also took Malaria pills because of the area we were in. I think some vaccinations are just plain silly and some are more dangerous than they are worth. It is something to think and pray about. God is sovereign.
