The Border Ecosse Car Club was founded in the early 70’s by a few dedicated motoring enthusiasts having one common passion .... cars .... with an emphasis on motorsport. This was hardly surprising, considering the fact that World F1 Champion, Jim Clark,FIA World Ladies Rally Champion, Louise Aitken-Walker, and Britain’s most successful long distance rally driver, Andrew Cowan are all from Duns in this immediate locality, and David Coulthard and Allan McNish are Borderers born and bred.
