Description
BARCS is located on Goodrick Avenue in Richmond. Goodrick Avenue is located off the Richmond Parkway. There is a locked gate at the entrance to the flying field and only members are allowed inside. If you wish to gain access to the flying field for a visit then you must contact one of the BARCS Officers or members of the Board.
From San Francisco/Oakland - Take Highway 80 and then take Highway 580 which branches off Highway 80 at Golden Gate Fields (on your left). This freeway branches to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. From here it is about 5 miles or so to the Castro Street Exit. From Highway 580 take the Castro Street exit and head North-East. Follow it until you get to Goodrick Avenue. There is a traffic signal at the intersection. Turn left on to Goodrick Avenue and follow the road until it becomes a dirt road. This dirt road will lead you to the flying field.
From Sacramento/Vallejo - Take Highway 80 west and then take the Richmond Pkwy exit and head West. Stay on the Pkwy until you get to Goodrick Avenue. There is a traffic signal at the intersection. Turn right on to Goodrick Avenue and follow the road until it becomes a dirt road. This dirt road will lead you to the flying field.
