Founded by Gregory V. Miller, Building Management Systems of Shepherdstown was created to fill the need for full-time facility management in the growing Martinsburg, West Virginia area. Greg Miller was a graduate from Shepherd College class of 1973, whereafter he transgressed into the residential construction industry. After a few years, Greg accepted employment from Concrete General and began his work in highway construction, where he was eventually promoted to site superintendent. Working in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Greg supervised the building of more than 20 bridges on the routes and highways of northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. After nearly twenty years with the company, Greg left to start his own corporation of Building Management Systems of Shepherdstown which has been operating for more than twelve years.
