Avicam is the love-child of a summer romance and late night conversations with the smartest web guy I know. We had begun throwing around an idea of 'webcam-ing' a series of wood-firings that were part of my undergraduate degree. An old '94 Centris Apple Macintosh computer had been sitting in the corner unused - just what was needed to host the software and ship the images. Finding a webcam that would work with such an old computer was not such an easy task and had to be tracked down. It was, through eBay - and we were up and running.
