Arvin Danielson has responsibilities for technology direction, standards development, new IP development, and bar code scanning engine and decode development.

Arvin joined the company in 1975 and has held several engineering and technical management positions in R&D. In the early 1990s, he was responsible for establishing the Asia Pacific business as the managing director of Asia Pacific. He is inventor or co-inventor on 65 current patents and has been directly involved in the innovation of many technological firsts including linear imaging, portable printing, smart battery, pen-based portable computing, wireless PAN, and MEMS laser scanning. He was awarded the Ron Mahany Innovation of the Year award twice for his contribution to Intermec technology.

Education

Arvin graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in 1969 with a BS degree in electronic engineering. He has completed undergraduate studies in business at the University of Maryland.
