- The immensely popular Cappuccino Society Concerts, a summer series at the Altamura Center, recently won a grant from the prestigious New York State Council on the Arts. The success of the series, which presents a wide variety of classical, operatic and popular music, as well as a special children's concert, has proven to be a popular formula, almost always drawing a full house for its Sunday afternoon concerts.
