At AltaLink, we know transmission. It’s our business to make sure the lights stay on and our customers have access to the most cost-effective electrical supply. As Canada’s only fully independent transmission company, we are responsible for the maintenance and operation of approximately 11,800 kilometres of transmission lines and 270 substations in Alberta. We own more than half of Alberta’s transmission grid and serve 85 per cent of its population.
