- Founded by David Sleeth in 1990 to provide Portland with a reliable and knowledgeable repair facility, Advance Camera has become one of the premier shops in the Northwest. As business grew, so did our need for more space, which was remedied in 1993 by moving to a larger location. This allowed room for our current staff of six technicians and further expansion of our new and used photographic equipment.
