Founded in a bedroom by Dan Baxter in July 1999, the site was started as a resource for his friends and family to save money online. With the help of programmer and long time friend Tim Patton they created a site that focused on the consumer. Today DealCatcher receives over 6 million page views per month promoting over 500 merchant’s online deals. DealCatcher has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, CNN, ABC's The View, PC World, Yahoo Internet Life, MSN, USA Today, and has won numerous site awards.
Dan started DealCatcher in July 1999. He currently works as the site's web designer and chief slacker, he signs the checks, and also writes these profiles. Dan studied computer science at the University of Delaware and left his senior year to pursue his dreams of starting a dot com. In his spare time, which he seems to have a lot of, he enjoys photography and road biking.
