Welcome to the 'about' section of ISP Review where you can find a brief history of how the site came to be. Note that ISPr's primary focus is on covering unmetered dialup ISPs and emerging broadband technologies, we generally tend to write about the residential options because business services aren't our target audience.
This section also lists some of the staff involved in the project, although please note that all those listed are un-paid volunteers, this is very much a not-for-profit consumer group written by the people whom actually use such providers. Note that forum moderators do not represent the site, they're just helpful forum members.
Easter 1999, Screaming.net, the first off-peak unmetered ISP launched to a colossal reception in the UK. Thousands joined up and by early June problems quickly became obvious. It was at this time that a small team of technologists and web developers decided people would need a forum for their news and problems.
