Don’t spend your summer sitting on the couch in front of the television, come visit Camp Agapé or The Kure Beach Center of the Agapé Kure Beach Ministries where you will create fun memories and develop friendships to last a lifetime!
Since 1968, the Agapé Kure Beach Ministries have provided a wonderful retreat from the chaos of every day life. Our summer camp includes two unique sites: Camp Agapé, which is located just 40 minutes from Raleigh, on 628 acres of rolling, wooded hills along the Cape Fear River and The Kure Beach Center which is a beautiful, ocean front retreat facility south of Wilmington, North Carolina. Camp Agapé is ideal for 45 guests, while Kure Beach provides intimate room for 35 guests. Sleeping facilities are in comfortable lodge and cabin facilities, which include air conditioning and carpeting. In addition, Agapé Kure Beach Ministries provides all the necessities, including wholesome food, and quiet, safe surroundings. We have two green buildings on the Agapé site and are committed to green practices, composting, recycling, and teaching an appreciation for the wonder of God’s creation.
Our focus is on quality programming and the positive Christian role modeling of our highly trained and committed staff. We believe everyone should have the opportunity for a positive Christian camp experience. Our programs include everything of a classic summer camp, featuring model rocketry, nature camps, horse camp, and leadership training programs for high school youth, half week camps for younger children, along with interactive beach camps at our Kure Beach site. Our campers come from all church backgrounds and family environments. Most programs begin on Sunday afternoon and close Friday afternoon, as a one-week summer camp session. Our camper to staff ratio is 1 to 4. The quality of our summer camp staff places the needs and concerns of our camper’s first. Every camper will return home having learned something positive about their personal gifts as a child of God.
