- The ADAPT Fund for Northern Ireland was granted independent trust status in June 1996 by the Inland Revenue. The new Trust was overseen by a Management Committee who meet periodically to discuss the policy, development and activities of the organisation. The ADAPT Management Committee decided to continue the activities of ADAPT NI through the medium of a Company Limited by Guarantee, with charitable status, effective form 1 July 2001.
- ADAPT aims to promote improved access to arts, community, heritage and leisure venues in Northern Ireland through advice, training and support and to develop a programme of activities and events which will involve disabled and non-disabled people at all levels in a way which is relevant to the objectives of the organisation.
