In May of 1972, I opened my first store on 35 Jefferson Road in Branford, CT and named it Wintersports Inc. My experience as a sales representative for Rossignol Ski Company had provided me with valuable insights into the specialty sporting goods business. From 1974 to 1978, a seasonal satellite winter store at Powder Ridge Ski Area, in Middlefield, CT was added. In 1976 we moved to our current location at 324 West Main Street in Branford CT.
