When we finish sanding your floor the wood will look like it just arrived from the lumber mill. The finishes that we use will give your floor the look you want. Our equipment is some of the largest and latest equipment out there. Made for big or small jobs. All corners are hand scrapped and sanded because they really don't make a machine that will do this part of the job to our standards. This is the same for your steps, because most of the stair work is also done by hand. If you want your floor color changed we have many selections from pickling to mahogany. Only when it is set do we apply your preference of finishes. A.Q.M. offers a high gloss, semi gloss or satin in oil based finishes. In the high-tech waterborne finishes we offer the gloss, semi gloss or satin. There are a lot of different polyurethane's on the market today most of these we will not use. If I wouldn't put it in my house I wouldn't use it in yours. Our top of the line commercial polyurethane is called Traffic, and is made for super high traffic in restaurants and other business type settings. Our top of the line residential polyurethane is called Street Shoe. This is the best for high traffic areas and people that have dogs living in their house. Our regular grade polyurethane for medium traffic is called Impact. Oil based materials are for light traffic only, or for an apartment that your renting out. Landlords use this polyurethane because tenants don't mind, and of course it's inexpensive. All repairs are carefully matched so that nobody can spot them. If we have to, we can cut out the stained or damaged wood and replace it so you couldn't tell it was even done. Even a professional floor man couldn't see it. And that's someone with a trained eye for floors. We also offer terracotta and slate restoration. We can take a floor that's been sealed over and over again for twenty years and bring it back to its original beauty. This goes the same for your slate flooring.
