Description
FREE GEEK is a non-profit community organization that recycles used technology to provide computers, education, internet access and job skills training to those in need in exchange for community service.
It offers various programs.This includes adoption program,in which the volunteers are asked to help with testing and data entry and are allowed to adopt a machine, or the building program where volunteers are taught to build computers and the sixth computer they help build will be theres to keep.Thus the essence is to impart computer technical wisdom and recycle technology in the process.
Free Greek prides itself for being democratically run and being a consensus community.
