Participate in the PDX Tech Calendar Google Group
It's been a couple of weeks since our last PortlandTech update, but things haven't slowed down in the Portland technology community. The big and potentially exciting movement happening is the formation of a PDX Tech Calendar Google Group which is discussion area with the purpose of creating a unified calendar of all technology user groups and events in Portland. The calendar would be be an automatic aggregator of other calendar information in a variety of formats and would then release a feed of this "master calendar" back to those formats.
Discussions are still in the early stages, but there's many of us eagerly watching and participating in the discussions hoping the project becomes a reality. The PDX Tech Calendar Google Group is open to the public, so feel free to join and add your thoughts/insights.
Upcoming events/deadlines:
- 15 Jan: Presentation submission deadline for IgnitePortland. Check out their Presentation Guidelines for more information. The second IgnitePortland event will be held Feb. 5 at the Bagdad Theater.
