Description
The USS Las Vegas is an Intrepid class ship. She was commissioned in September, 2005. The USS Las Vegas is a local chapter of the IFT (International Federation of Trekkers) who proudly support and further the vision of the Late Great Bird of the Galaxy, Gene Roddenberry.
The USS Las Vegas holds monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Quark's Bar & Restaurant located inside Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Casino. All crew members as well as anyone interested in joining or even with just an interest in Star Trek are encouraged to attend.
One of the missions of the USS Las Vegas will be to further the goals of Walter's Star. This foundation has the goal of raising the funds to provide a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame for the only original series cast member that thus far has no star, Walter Koenig. Walter Koenig has made major contributions to Star Trek and to the acting profession. He deserves to be honored in this way and thus we lend our efforts.
