Access to the CDS Market

The market for credit default swaps (CDS) has traditionally been available only to high-volume traders. Traccr.com makes the credit derivatives market available to private, high net worth individuals and professional traders who want to trade CDS in their personal accounts.

Traccr.com makes CDS trading easy and convenient, with live online trading and CDS news in real time, to help traders decide which CDS trends to trade on.

The firm offers both listed and over-the-counter credit derivatives in a variety of deal sizes. Clients can trade a number of different CDS products, all from a single account.

You can learn to trade CDS online with Traccr.com's CDS trading simulator and supporting educational material, before you actually start trading.

How CDS Trading Works

Traccr CDS Trading

Trading credit default swaps is a versatile, cost-effective way to gain exposure to bonds and credit indices.

Traders need only put up a fraction of the trade’s value. You "buy" credit protection if bond prices are moving down (or credit spreads are rising), and "sell" credit protection if bond prices are up (or credit spreads are falling). You never actually own the instrument you are trading.

Given the activity and developments around the CDS market, professional traders have become more aware of credit derivatives and how it can be applied to hedge their corporate bond positions, or to take a view on synthetic credit indices.Farooq Jaffrey, founder of Traccr

Over the counter credit derivatives are among the fastest growing products worldwide. Listed credit derivatives are expected to grow rapidly over the next several years and are recognized as an emerging asset class.

As a leveraged derivative product, CDS is not regulated on any exchange. Traccr advises that a CDS can result in higher losses than the original deposit and, therefore, may not be a suitable option for all traders.
