- Started as a simple idea, a frustration rather about the inability to post newly launched websites, the concept of Spicypage was born. A concept of perceiving the web through the eyes of the user where the ranking of the sites occurs through user votes. Sure there are ranking sites out there such as Alexa.com, Compete.com or Ranking.com that rank sites based on daily visitors. The only question comes that what happens to newly launched sites that do not have millions of pageviews yet. Those sites might have superb features, but not a huge budget to promote the site's launch, and so will not be seen in Alexa.com or Ranking.com for few years. The concept of Spicypage is extremely simple and straight forward: we want the user to tell us what the best site/blog is out there. We want to know users' experiences with the sites, their likes and dislikes. After all, the best site/blog might not be the one with the most visitors.
