Title

mamazine :: where mamas can get real and get happy!

Description

mamazine.com is a feminist publication for mamas and people who love them. As feminist mamas, we want to critically examine cultural expectations of mamas and resist the unhealthy pressures put on them, while also taking the time to celebrate the real and often poignant joys of raising children. mamazine.com focuses on mamas as whole people. There are plenty of voices out there telling you what to feed your toddler and which car seat is best for baby. mamazine.com won't tell you how you should mother; instead, we focus on sharing stories of how real mamas do mother - including how they juggle caregiving duties and paid or unpaid work while finding time for themselves.

mamazine.com knows mamas have wants and needs, too. In mama likes, our favorite books, movies, TV shows, music, web sites and blogs are featured, so when you get that long-awaited hour (or minute) to yourself, you'll know how to spend it. We'll also tell you about the cool shit we're currently lusting after - and no, we don't mean a Bugaboo stroller; we're talking grownup stuff, mamas. Send us your suggestions for future mama likes items at: mamalikes@mamazine.com
